Do I Need a Permit?

If you are questioning whether you need a permit or not, every municipality has different parameters dictated within their building ordinance.  However, if you are altering or remodeling a dwelling and the project affects structure strength, exits, natural light, ventilation, electrical,  or sanitation a permit is generally required.

Outbuilding permit requirements may be dependent on size or amenities.

Commercial builds (both temporary and permanent) almost always require a building permit.

New dwellings (both permanent and temporary) require a permit.

Please contact us with any questions about permitting your project.

Construction started without a permit can lead to daily fines and double fees.
